Katy, Texas — Christ Clinic, a nonprofit healthcare provider serving uninsured and underinsured individuals in Katy and the Greater Houston area, has expanded its reach and capacity by moving into a new facility at 1040 Schlipf Rd, Suite 217, Katy, TX 77493 in February 2025. This move allows Christ Clinic to continue its mission of delivering compassionate, affordable care to those who fall through the gaps of the traditional healthcare system. The Katy News visited Christ Clinic and met with Jay Donnella, Population Health Communications Lead, who gave a tour of the facility. Jay has been instrumental in the clinic's progress and success throughout his 3 years on board. Jay Donnella has lived in the Katy community for 30 years and, in addition to his role at Christ Clinic, also sits on the board of the Katy Rotary Club, the local YMCAs (in the Katy area), and the Greater Houston Manufacturers Association.

As Jay Donnella notes, “Health INSURANCE is not the same as health CARE, and insurance has become so expensive and restrictive that more and more people can’t afford necessary care, so they delay treatment until it is more difficult and expensive to treat, making the situation even worse! Christ Clinic provides access to affordable quality healthcare to help everyone.”

- MAPS - Medical Assistant Programs: supporting patients with medical assistance and navigation
- Physical Therapy: helping patients recover from injury or illness
- Gynecology: women's health services
- Internal Medicine: care for adults with chronic conditions
- Ophthalmology: eye care services
- Wound Care: specialized care for wounds and skin conditions
- Immunizations: vaccinations and shots

Since its inception in 2000 as an outreach ministry in Memorial Lutheran Church in Katy, Christ Clinic has grown significantly. In 2022, the clinic provided care for around 5,000 patients, and by 2024, the number of encounters was 19,281. In 2024, Christ Clinic had:
- 1,748 Specialty Visits
- 3,457 Unique Patients
- 242 Wound Care visits

Employer Sponsored Membership
Christ Clinic offers an Employer Sponsored Membership Program designed to support employees' health needs, boosting workforce productivity. A healthier workforce is more productive, but employees worried about their health or their families' health can be distracted or absent. This program helps address gaps for employees who:
- Aren't benefit-eligible (e.g., part-time workers).
- Have chosen high-deductible health plans that are hard to afford based on their income.
