Harmony Public Schools teachers to receive additional salary through TEA’s Teacher Incentive Allotment
The Texas Education Agency has announced that Harmony Public Schools is eligible this cycle for the Teacher Incentive Allotment, a special fund created to reward the state’s highest-performing teachers. The recognition means that hundreds of Harmony teachers across the state will receive up to $22,000 in additional salary starting this fall.
The Texas Legislature created the Teacher Incentive Allotment in 2019 as part of the state’s new education bill, known as HB3. The primary purpose of HB3 was to provide new funds for across-the-board pay raises for Texas teachers.
This May, teachers will learn which distinctions they may have earned: Master, Exemplary, Recognized (or none). HPS teachers will be awarded bonuses ranging from $3,000 - $22,000 for their efforts.
