
(Houston, Texas) July 11, 2024— Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston will provide food, water, and cleaning supplies to individuals and families as they recover from Hurricane Beryl. A drive-thru distribution will occur on
Saturday, July 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the agency’s headquarters at
2900 Louisiana Street in Houston.
Counselors will be on hand to meet with anyone experiencing extreme trauma as a result of the hurricane, and prayer resources will be available upon request.
Limited financial assistance will be available starting next week by applying online. Check Catholic Charities’ social media pages and website for further details.
The agency also distributed food bags to those in need at the Mamie George Community Center in Fort Bend and the Beacon of Hope Center in Galveston.

1111 Collins Road in Richmond will be open on
Friday, July 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to serve as a cooling center for those seeking respite from the heat.
