Comptroller Glenn Hegar Distributes $993 Million in Monthly Sales Tax Revenue to Local Governments

[caption id="attachment_57805" align="alignright" width="131"] Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar[/caption] Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $992.9 million in local sales tax allocations for January, 26.8 percent more than in January 2021. These allocations are based on sales made in November by businesses that report tax monthly.
