District Continues Curbside Grab and Go Meals for its Virtual Instruction Students

By George Slaughter The Katy Independent School District said it will continue to offer curbside grab and go meals for students enrolled in its Katy Virtual Academy (KVA) Grades K-6 program. Meals will be distributed from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at Cinco Ranch High School, 23440 Cinco Ranch Blvd., and Morton Ranch High School, 21000 Franz Rd. “The grab and go breakfast and lunch meals are ready to heat and eat at home,” Donna Pittenger, nutrition and food services executive director, said in a statement. “There is no cost to children 18 and under who are enrolled in KVA. Students who eat meals at school are not eligible for meals at the grab and go locations.” Identification for each child such as an ID, report card or birth certificate must be presented before receiving the meal.
